Inspired by the ocean where I live. I feel that I live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. This piece speaks to the consuming and immersive feeling of being near and in the water.
The artwork is built up over many, many layers and has texture. This is highlighted by the satin varnish which catches the light on the brush texture.
Main colours are gold and blue green
Acrylic and gold metal leaf on canvas, sealed in clear varnish
Edges of the artwork are finished with gold leaf.
